Hey CrossFit Tustin! Workout 16.3 is in officially the books and we are looking forward to the 16.4 announcement this coming Thursday at 5pm. This week we want to take a moment and reflect upon some notable accomplishments for 16.3. The workout was a simple couplet of light snatches and a complex gymnastic movement…the bar muscle up. One of the compelling things about CrossFit for those of us who do it is the endless learning and mastering of athletic movements. This desire to progress and learn new skills is what drives us to achieve things we never thought possible before starting CrossFit. Many of you had a significant taste of this with the achievement of your first bar muscle up. Here are a few athletes that did just that this week:
Hey CrossFit Tustin! We’ve just gotta say, last Friday night was so much fun! 16.2 was a great workout and super enjoyable to watch. Our very own coach Andrew Kong and Jevon Hetland are sitting high on the leaderboard after two weeks and Team CrossFit Tustin United is on the cusp of qualification at 17th–the top 15 teams from SoCal qualify for the California Super Regional.
Hey CrossFit Tustin! The first week of the CrossFit Open is officially closed and we are already looking forward to week 2 this Friday night. Sorry for any athletes that came in the evening and had a hefty wait to get in a heat…the workout was a bit of a logistical headache. We hope that this next week will not be a 20 minute monster!

Before I started CrossFit I was a runner and a cyclist.
My biggest fear in starting CrossFit was the intimidation factor towards other CrossFit athletes.
